Cooking Classes

Chefs
2 Be cooking classes are more than just a cooking class,
your child will also learn basic cooking fundamentals,
restaurant etiquette, and nutrition fundamentals all
in a fun, creative setting.
Class
age groupings are for 5 to 10 year olds; 11 years old
and up
Classes are limited to 12 students. We encourage moms
or dads to join the fun, too.
Classes
are 60, 75 and 120 minutes long and are available in
a series or on a class by class basis. (Space Pending)
Classes
are taught at The Nyack Center, 58 Depew Ave (Corner
of Broadway and Depew)
Classes
are on-going throughout the year
Sample
Skills
All students will learn measuring and portioning basics,
table service skills, restaurant etiquette, kitchen
terminology, equipment and product identification and
good nutrition principles. They will also have fun with
food science projects.

5 to 10:
Fun time snacks, wraps, salads, dressings and cold
sauces; working with chocolate and great desserts. |
Ages
10 & Up:
Cold and hot appetizers, soups, salads, entrees
and desserts; presentation and garnishing.
