Our children are our most precious resource. Let
us teach them a skill they can use everyday for the
rest of their lives.
In
our one two and three weeklong programs students will
learn through lecture, demonstration, and hands-on
production, restaurant etiquette, cooking fundamentals
and techniques including sautéing, stir-frying,
pan and deep-frying, grilling, broiling, roasting,
poaching, stewing, braising, and steaming along with
sanitation and knife skills, baking and pastry skills.
These skill sets will teach your child to become more
versatile, creative and experienced with food as well
develop skills that can be used every day.
Chefs
2 Be mission is to teach kids, ages 12 to 17,
hands-on applications in food preparation, develop
proactive, nutritious eating habits in a fun,
creative and structured environment.
This
summer you won’t have to worry about what’s
for dinner. Student will prepare breakfast, lunch and
snacks for themselves, and dinner for parents.
Parents
can drop off their children any time between 8:30
and 9:00am and pick them up between 4:00pm and
5:00pm. Allowing flexibility to accommodate parent’s
work schedules. (All drop off times must be made in advance)
Students
will have the opportunity to develop creativity
and learn cooking skills that will last a lifetime. Students will be exposed to cooking of regional,
spa and nouvelle cuisines. Students will also
learn buffet presentations and garnishing.
All
students entering the summer will learn food sanitation.
These safe food practices of storing,
handling, and serving of safe food will be taught
by the staff of Chefs 2 Be.
